Gunfighters (1947) is a first rate Scott western, from the era when his best westerns were made. Scott takes his many problems in stride, such as attempting to put aside his gun and live down his fast-draw reputation. Too bad his old friend gets murdered by a bunch of bad guys and he's got to deal with two pretty women (sisters)

Greatest Western Ever!
The greatest western ever made! Why you may ask. It was made in my town of Sedona, AZ. Anyone that lives here instantly recognizes the area throughout the movie. The picture ends as they ride off into the sunset between Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte with Gibraltar in the background.

Sweet and pretty western with likable Scott
Good, not great, in the western department, but there's plenty here to like. Scott must solve a murder while dealing with pretty twin sisters and the inevitable corrupt ranchers. Nice action, including a hell-fire fistfight about halfway through.

Excellent Randolph Scott Western
Most of Randolph Scott's movies were average to excellent. This one is well above average. A good plot, well paced, and a satisfactory climax. The acting by Scott and the supporting cast is good. Entertaining viewing for the fan of western movies.
